Welcome to St. John’s Episcopal Church! We have been a vital part of Montgomery County since 1842. We welcome all persons who feel called to express their faith or who are on their own journey to find God in their life. We are committed to sharing the Good News of God in Christ Jesus, respecting the dignity of every human being, and loving our neighbor. We reach out with our Lord’s compassion and love to any and all who are hurting or are marginalized. Join us as we offer up the sacred worship of the Church, and begin to experience the rich layers of the Christian tradition that are shaped by our Anglican heritage. Join us as we form the hearts and minds of our children and adults so that they always see the face of God in everyone they meet. Come and share your unique gifts as we strive for justice and peace among all people, and proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ.
THE MOST GENEROUS GIFT: End-of-Life Preparation & Planning
Saturday, April 20 | 9am to 12 Noon
Planning for the future can make all the difference in an emergency and at the end-of-life. Being prepared and having important documents in a single place can gives peace of mind, helps ensure that wishes are honored, and eases the burden on loved ones. Please join us for this "Most Generous Gift" as we learn about planning for final moments. A series of guest speakers will be at St. John's, in the Parish Hall on Saturday, April 20th from 9am to 12 noon, to discuss legal documents such as wills and medical power of attorney, hospice and palliative care, funeral pre-planning, green burial, funeral liturgy, and more. Get all your questions answered and leave with valuable information to help you and your family plan for a stress free and easy transition.
